Boudoir was Vivienne Westwood's first perfume, launched in 1998 after five years of work by perfumer Martin Gras. Like its designer, it is daring. It has been called sweet, intensely floral and almost indecent, a "love-it-or-leave-it" perfume. Mandarin and bergamot open into tobacco flower, heliotrope, cardamom, coriander, cinnamon, orris and rose, over vanilla, amber and sandalwood. The clear glass bottle is crowned by Westwood's baroque golden orb, designed by Fabrice Legros.
