Background by Jil Sander is an eau de toilette for men. Introduced in 1993. According to fragrance sources, the composition runs like this. Top notes: anise, bergamot, lavender, tarragon. Heart notes: carnation, heliotrope, jasmine, rose. Base notes: amber, cedar, sandalwood, vanilla. An aromatic scent with a sweet, balsamic base, which makes it a good choice for cooler days.
